ABOUT THE HATED ON YELP SERIES
Established in 2018. While working in her gallery, photographer Lesley Villarreal started writing down funny complaints she overheard from tourists visiting Marfa. This eventually turned into an obsession with reading Yelp reviews people left about the town. She began printing the quotes on canvas and created an exhibit called Marfa: We Are Hated on Yelp. The series later evolved into photographs of Marfa paired with real reviews and complaints from visitors who maybe didn’t fully understand the desert.
ABOUT THE MIGUEL MYERS SERIES
The Miguel Myers series began in 2016 when Lesley’s husband, Junie, dressed as Michael Myers for Halloween and gave himself the alter ego “Miguel Myers.” Since then, they’ve spent every October photographing Miguel Myers wandering around Marfa and other West Texas locations causing silent chaos. The annual Miguel Myers calendar is traditionally released every Halloween.
WHAT IS A GALLERY FLOATMOUNT?
Each photograph is printed on semi-matte metallic paper and mounted to 1/8" masonite. A 3/4" recessed back frame creates a floating effect when hung on the wall. The surface is finished with a UV protective non-glare film that helps the colors stay vibrant while reducing reflections. These pieces have a subtle sheen that really comes alive in natural light.
Gallery floatmounts are custom made and typically ship within 8–10 business days.
WHAT ARE FINE ART PRINTS?
Each photograph is printed on archival fine art paper for exceptional quality and longevity. The paper is 100% acid-free with a deep matte finish that gives the print a soft, non-reflective look. We use archival pigment inks known for their rich color and fade resistance, helping your print stay vibrant for decades.
WHAT IS YOUR CUSTOM FRAMING LIKE?
Each photograph is printed on archival fine art paper and framed using solid wood frames with optical-grade clear acrylic for protection and clarity. You can choose between a 4-ply white matboard or a flush-mounted look. The back is finished with a kraft paper dust cover and arrives ready to hang with included wire hardware.

Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase. After that time, cancellations are no longer accepted.
