After a lot of thinking (and a few tears), I've made the difficult decision to close the Love, Marfa storefront and merge with June TeeZe.
If you've ever visited my little shop, you know how much this place means to me. What started as a tiny photography gallery slowly turned into a little gift shop filled with stickers, sky photos, bad yelp reviews, souvenirs, and all kinds of weird ideas. It's also where I rebuilt my life after cancer and found my way back to creating things that make people smile.
I'm not going to lie, I'm heartbroken about leaving this space. I love this little shop. I love watching people discover it for the first time. I love hearing people laugh when they find a sticker that speaks to their soul.
But as much as I love this space, the reality is that it makes more sense financially for me to join forces with Junie. We'll have a bigger space, one roof, and a chance to build something even better together.
The good news is that Love, Marfa isn't going anywhere. The stickers, photography, handmade gifts, and strange sense of humor are all coming with me. They'll just have a new address.
I want to thank every single person who has supported this little dream over the years. Whether you bought a sticker, a print, a shirt, or just stopped in to say hello, you've meant more to me than you'll ever know.
Love, Marfa will remain open through the 4th of July weekend with a closing party on Sunday July 5th...more info to come. There will be lots of clearance sales as I start preparing for the move. If you've had your eye on something, now's probably the time.
After that, I'll be closing briefly while I pack everything up and move into the new space. I'll share updates along the way and let everyone know when we're ready to reopen.
And before anyone asks, this adorable little building isn't going to sit empty. Something new will be moving in. I can't spill the beans just yet, but I think you're all going to be excited about what's coming next.
This isn't really a goodbye. It's just the start of a new chapter.
