September marked two years since I opened my tiny little shop. Owning a small business is not easy, and there have been plenty of moments when I questioned my sanity and wondered if the shop would survive. Over time, it’s changed in ways I never expected. What started as a photo gallery has slowly evolved into a souvenir shop, complete with a wall of handmade stickers.

I spent most of 2025 learning how to make my own merchandise, which came with its fair share of challenges. After hundreds of hours and more than a little destroyed material, I finally feel like I’ve found my rhythm. In June, I reopened my Etsy shop and began selling my handmade stickers, and in November I launched a brand new website.

I didn’t shoot as much this year, but I did manage to capture a few truly epic storms. We also adopted another dog in October named Casper. If you visited the shop in 2025, chances are you met Tammy Faye. Unfortunately, Tammy was relieved of her greeting duties after repeatedly jumping on customers, so we decided it was time to get her a friend.

I also reached an important milestone this year. Three years cancer free. It’s been a year of ups and downs, but mostly ups. I am deeply grateful to be alive, and endlessly thankful for the support you’ve shown my itty bitty shop.

Happy New Year, and here’s to a healthy and prosperous 2026.
